Scholarship Description

The Edward J. Brady Scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student pursuing a minimum four-year bachelors degree in welding engineering (WE) or welding engineering technology (WET); however, priority will be given to welding engineering (WE) students. To be eligible, applicants must: be at least 18; have a minimum high school diploma; have a 2.5 GPA; provide a letter of reference indicating previous hands-on welding experience; demonstrate financial need; and be a citizen of the United States and plan to attend an academic institution located within the United States.

The AWS Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization. It supports programs to ensure the growth and development of the welding industry through research and educational opportunities. Our industry depends upon education that prepares the next generation to meet the challenges ahead. No awards will be paid to the recipient. All awards are for tuition and books only, and will be paid directly to the academic institution by the AWS Foundation.
