Scholarship Description

The Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) is an international, non-profit organization that is in the forefront of streamlining and simplifying regulations by either drafting regulatory rules or by commenting on government proposals. By developing a broad base of support for new approaches, AFDO has become a recognized voice in determining the rules and shape of the regulatory playing field of the future. Throughout their generosity, AFDO offers financial aid.

The Association of Food and Drug Officials offer three scholarships to qualified applicants in their third year of college who have demonstrated a desire to serve in a career of research, regulatory work, quality control, or teaching in an area related to some aspect of foods, drugs or consumer product safety. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. To apply, in addition to completing an application, an official and complete college transcript must be submitted along with letters of recommendation from two faculty members.
