Rivera Selfie Not Cool with Duquesne University

Geraldo is inarguably in great shape for somebody who just turned 70, but oftentimes hubris can prove costly. In this instance the cost was a rescinded invite to moderate a panel during an event marking the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy’s death. Initially, Dusquesne U. wanted Rivera there ostensibly due to the fact that it was he who first aired the famous Zapruder film showing the assassination. However, the Roman Catholic university apparently reconsidered upon learning of the semi-nude selfie Giraldo posted to Twitter last July on his birthday. Some might consider the university’s response to Rivera's tweeted photo a bit extreme, but this certainly isn’t the first time we have witnessed this sort of thing. What do you think? Should Dusquesne have turned a blind eye to the tweet and allowed Rivera the opportunity to participate? Is there a lesson to be learned here that nobody seems ever to learn?
