Scholarship Description

The Alan & Mary Jo Lincoln Scholarship is offered to graduating African American high school seniors who will be attending a college/university or trade school full-time in the upcoming fall. To be eligible, applicants must: have at least a GPA of a 2.5; have involvement in extracurricular activities or community service; and plan to enroll as a student full time. The Alan & Mary Jo Lincoln Scholarship aims to support career driven African American high school seniors who’ve taken an active role in their schools and communities.

Interested applicants must submit the following: a completed application form; two letters of recommendation (one from a school official and one from a community organization); an official transcript (must include first-semester grades); and an essay, of at least 500 words on as assigned topic. The winner will receive the scholarship after submitting proof of full-time enrollment in a college/university or trade school. Alan and Mary Jo Lincoln believe in supporting the educational advancement of future African American leaders and are committed to alleviating part of the financial burden of college/trade school attendance.
