Scholarship Description

Pasadena Post 13 Legionnaire Annie Bach firmly believed in the American Legion’s dedication to fostering and perpetuating Americanism. The Annie Bach Americanism Video Essay Scholarship is open to woman veterans who are residents of and attending a brick and mortar post-secondary school in Pasadena, California. All applicants must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and be attending at least half-time. This scholarship is not renewable but applicants are welcome to reapply the following year. The American Legion, commonly known as the Legion, is an organization of U.S. war veterans headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. It is made up of state, U.S. territory, and overseas departments, and these are in turn made up of local posts. The organization was formed on March 15, 1919, in Paris, France, by a thousand officers and men of the American Expeditionary Forces (A. E. F.) and it was chartered on September 16, 1919, by the United States Congress.
