American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Scholarships

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants is the national, professional organization for all Certified Public Accountants. As part of this mission, the AICPA offers scholarship and award programs to students majoring in accounting or finance.

AICPA/Accountemps Student Scholarship
The AICPA/Accountemps Student Scholarship program provides financial assistance to students who are currently majoring in accounting, finance, or information systems. Five scholarships are awarded annually to AICPA student affiliate members.

John L. Carey Scholarship
The AICPA John L. Carey Scholarship program provides financial assistance to liberal arts degree holders pursuing graduate studies in accounting and the CPA designation. Up to ten $5,000 scholarships are awarded annually.

Scholarship for Minority Accounting Students
This scholarship program provides awards of up to $5,000 to outstanding minority students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession. The program has been in existence for more than 20 years and has awarded more than $6 million in scholarships.

Fellowship for Minority Doctoral Students
The primary objective of the AICPA Fellowship for Minority Doctoral Students program is to enable more minorities to enter and move ahead in the accounting profession and academe. Fellowships of up to $8,000 are awarded once a year to full-time minority accounting scholars who show significant potential to become accounting educators.
