Florida Bright Futures is a lottery-funded scholarship covering public university
tuition, fees, and a living allowance for four years. The scholarship is open to
graduates of Florida public high schools who maintained a 3.5 GPA, received an ACT
score of 28 or an SAT score of 1270 (math and critical reading), and met other eligibility
requirements.

The Barnes Scholarship is worth up to $15,000 a year for four years at an accredited
U.S. college or university. Four winners are selected each year from public and
private high school in West Central Florida (counties of Pinellas, Hillsborough,
Pasco, Hernando and Citrus). The award is based on academic achievement, financial
need, community service and evidence of having overcome significant hurdles in life
to succeed academically. The scholarship may be renewed annually so long as the
full-time student remains in good academic standing.

The Minority Teacher Education Scholarship is designed to attract and retain students
that are interested in becoming a teacher in the state of Florida. The scholarship
is administered at 33 participating colleges and universities throughout the state.
Special consideration is given to community college students. The Minority Teacher
Education Scholarships is worth up to $8000.

The Friends of 440 Scholarship aids dependents or descendants of workers who are
injured in the course and scope of their employment and receive benefits under the
Florida Workers' Compensation Law and who reside or whose accident occurred in Alachua,
Baker, Bay, Bradford, Brevard, Broward, Calhoun, Clay, Charlotte, Collier, Columbia,
Dade, Dixie, Duval, Escambia, Franklin, Gadsden, Gilchrist, Gulf, Hamilton, Hendry,
Hillsborough, Holmes, Indian River, Jackson, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lee, Leon, Levy,
Liberty, Madison, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Nassau, Okaloosa, Okeechobee,
Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Santa Rosa, Sarasota,
Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Suwannee, Taylor, Union, Wakulla, Walton and Washington
counties.
