NASA MUST Scholarship Program

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) MUST project is open to all U.S. citizens, who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) discipline at a college or university that is accredited in the United States are eligible for the MUST funding opportunity. MUST is administered by the Hispanic College Fund through a consortium that includes the United Negro College Fund Special Programs Corporation and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. Participation is highly competitive and can be renewed through a student’s junior year.

Each year, the MUST Project supports undergraduate students with:
-A one year competitive scholarship of up to half of tuition and fees, not to exceed $10,000.
-The opportunity to participate in a paid 10-week NASA summer internship at one of 10 NASA field centers.
-The MUST Professional and Academic Support System (PASS), which provides scholars with mentoring and access to various professional development activities.

To win a MUST scholarship you must be

-be a U.S. citizen
-be a rising freshman, sophomore, junior
-be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for the coming academic year
-have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
-pursuing a degree in science, engineering, technology, or mathematics in a NASA core competency displine

*The MUST Project is not targeted for students pursing degrees in the medical or health fields
