Idaho Minority and "At Risk" Student Scholarship


The Idaho Legislature established the Minority and "At-Risk" Student Scholarship to assist talented students who are "at-risk" of failing to obtain a college education because of their cultural, economic or physical circumstances. The award is $3000 a year and is renewable for up to 4 years. To qualiy, you must: Be a resident of Idaho; Be a graduate of an Idaho High School.

In addition, you must meet 3 of the following 5 criteria:

-Be a first generation college student
-Be disabled
-Be a migrant farm worker or the dependent of a migrant farm worker
-Have a substantial financial need
-Be a member of an ethnic minority historically under-represented in higher education (Native American, Hispanic, or Black Non-Hispanic).

Reciepients must be, or plan to be, full-time undergraduate students of ACI, BSU, CSI, EITH, IST, LCSC, NIC, OR U OF I.
