The Legislative Lottery Scholarship helps pay tuition expenses for New Mexico high
school graduates (or GED recipients) who plan to attend an eligible New Mexico public
college or university. Students establish eligibility in the first regular semester
immediately following their high school graduation and funding begins in the second
college semester. The scholarship covers tuition only for up to eight semesters
for New Mexico residents who graduated from a New Mexico high school or who received
a GED in the state. To qualify, students must be enrolled full-time and maintain
a 2.5 GPA.

The New Mexico Scholars Program is a scholarship covering four years’ tuition, fees,
and books at a public post-secondary institution for financially needy and academically
gifted New Mexico high school graduates. Students must graduate in the top 5% of
their class or score above a 25 on the ACT and must meet family income requirements.

Jeff Apodaca, Celebration of Life understands the unique challenges kids with cancer
must overcome in order to triumph over their illness. The Jeff Apodaca, Celebration
of Life Scholarship gives them a start on a new future-a good education.
Twenty-eight years ago, with the help of UNM Children's Hospital, Jeff Apodaca won
the battle against a rare and malignant form of soft muscle sarcoma. Community partners,
Jeff and his family sponsor the annual "Celebration of Life" Gala fundraiser at
which the annual scholarship(s) is awarded.

The University of New Mexico Presidential Scholarship is offered to selected incoming
freshmen New Mexico residents with proven academic and citizenship skills as demonstrated
in the classroom and positions of leadership. Students must apply during their senior
year in high school. The award is valued at $6,300 each year and is renewable for
four years given that the student continues to meet the criteria.

Legislative Endowment Scholarships provide aid for undergraduate students with substantial
financial need who are attending public post-secondary institutions in New Mexico.
Up to $2,500 per academic year may be awarded for this particular scholarship. Renewable
if student maintains satisfactory progress.
