Engineering Scholarships & Fellowships
Engineering is a popular, diverse and valuable major. Unfortunately, like most students,
those pursuing an engineering degree frequently need financial assistance to afford
their education. And because engineering studies are often time consuming, scholarships
that can help students pay for additional semesters are of particular importance.
Luckily, financial aid is readily available to those who choose to major in one
of the many engineering concentrations. Whether you’re looking for mechanical engineering
scholarships, chemical engineering scholarships, civil engineering scholarships
or awards based on other engineering genres, chances are, they exist.

- The Arsham Amirikian Welding Scholarship
Each year, a $2,500 college scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student
pursuing a civil engineering or welding-related degree at an accredited university.
Financial need is taken into account during the selection process.
- Edward D. Hendrickson/SAE Engineering Scholarship
Winners of the Edward D. Hendrickson/SAE Engineering Scholarship will receive a
$4,000 scholarship to be distributed over a four-year period. To be eligible, students
must have a 3.75 GPA, rank in the 90th percentile in the SAT or ACT math and critical
reading sections and must be pursuing a degree in engineering.
- Future Engineers Scholarship Program
One $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student attending an accredited
college or university in the US. Students must be accepted into the school of engineering
and must have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible.
- National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship
In an effort to identify and assist talented students whose education in science
or engineering can be asset to the US, about two-hundred graduate fellowships will
be awarded each year. The Department of Defense will pay for the scholars’ tuition
and award them a stipend of approximately $25,000.
- Intel International Science and Engineering Fair
More than 1,500 high school students compete for financial aid at the Intel International
Science and Engineering Fair. Prizes and scholarships totaling nearly $4 million
are awarded.
