The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission HBCU Student Research Participation Program provides opportunities to participate in ongoing Nuclear Regulatory Commission research and development.
Discipline(s): computer science, engineering, earth or geosciences, health physics, materials science, mathematics, molecular/radiation biology, performance and risk assessments, physical sciences, statistics-related to nuclear material control and accounting
Eligibility: undergraduate and graduate students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities; U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents
Benefits: weekly stipend of $600; limited travel reimbursement (round-trip transportation expenses between facility and home or campus)
Funding source(s): Nuclear Regulatory Commission through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy
