The George Snow Scholarship Fund

Financial need is the common criteria that bind all of the grants awarded through the George Snow Scholarship Fund. We also review all special circumstances.

To qualify for The George Snow Scholarship Fund, applicants must:
- Be a graduate of a Palm Beach County or North Broward County high school
- Show financial need
- Must be active in their school and community have strong educational and career goals and are self motivated

Most scholarships are award to graduating seniors going into their first year of college. Students applying for these scholarships can attend any accredited college, university or vocational/technical school anywhere in the country and can major in any subject. Students are eligible for these scholarships if they are graduating from a Palm Beach County high school or graduating from either Pompano High School or Blanche Ely High School in Broward County, Florida.

In addition the Fund has specific scholarships for students who meet the above criteria who are pursuing a career in the field of medicine, nursing, pharmacy, engineering, visual/ performing arts, photojournalism or culinary arts - OR - are at least 1/8 Italian, a graduate of Limestone Creek Elementary, planning to attend a vocational or technical school, or an orphan.

Additional scholarships are available through the Scholarship Fund to single parents or students that meet other criteria such as considering themselves a feminist and wishing to apply for the Feminist Scholarship Program.
