Institute for Recruitment of Teachers Interns Program
An intense four-week program at Phillips Academy, the Summer Intern Workshop helps participants refine their writing, analytical and oral skills in preparation for graduate study. Interns and faculty work together nearly eight hours each day, five and a half days a week. Included in the program are lectures, seminar discussions, small group meetings, daily writing conferences, films, debates and presentations by nationally known educators, art historians, poets, cinematographers and artists. Faculty teaching assistants for the summer workshop are often former IRT students. Each intern receives a $1,200 stipend for the month.
