The Fulgham/Fulghum National Foundation Scholarship
The FFFNF offers one $1,000 scholarship annually on a competitive basis to high school seniors accepted by a college or university. Applications must be made on an official Fulgham-Fulghum Family Scholarship Application form. Applicants must request a FFFNF form by U.S. Postal Service mail from Rev. Peter C. Fulghum postmarked between September 1st and March 1st. Applications must include a self-addressed envelope bearing first-class postage with their request for an application form.
The deadline for submitting completed applications is April 15th each year.
Priority will be given to high school seniors entering a post-secondary program leading to a career in the teaching or nursing professions. Eligibility is limited to high school seniors. The application must contain the following information:
- The completed official FFFNF application form
- Acceptance information by an accredited college or university
- A summary of academic achievement in high school and any college work to date. Official transcripts are required.
- A list of outside-the-classroom achievements
- A 150-word essay
The applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Committee, and the award is made each year to the applicant deemed most deserving based on the complete application. Scholarships are separately funded by donations to the FFFNF Scholarship Fund, not by Association dues. Only the scholarship recipient will be notifided by the end of June.
