Steve Hymans Extended Stay Scholarship

Administered by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation (AH&LEF), the Steve Hymans Extended Stay Scholarship honors Steve Hymans, a 25-year veteran of the hospitality industry and one of the extended stay segment's most knowledgeable and experienced professionals. Originally created by the American Hotel & Lodging Association's Extended Stay Council, the primary purpose of the scholarship is to educate students about the needs, interests, and concerns of the extended stay segment.

Eligibility Criteria
- Enrolled full- or part-time
- An undergraduate hospitality management major
- A minimum 3.0 GPA
- A U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident
- Have at least some experience either working or interning (paid or unpaid) at a lodging property. Preference will be given to those applicants with experience at an extended stay property

Scholarship Awards
Baccalaureate Majors - $2,000 full-time enrollment; $1,000 part-time
Associate Majors - $1,000 full-time enrollment; $500 part-time
