Mahatma Rice Scholarship

The Mahatma Rice Scholarship is awarded to five high school seniors each year. Each of the five winners of the essay contest - the topic of which is listed on our website - wins a $2,000 cash award.

Entrants must be seniors attending high school in one of the following cities/counties:
- Los Angeles and Orange counties in California
- San Francisco/San Jose Metro Areas in California
- Miami-Dade, Monroe and Broward counties in Florida

Essays may be submitted in English or Spanish and should be postmarked no later than February 15th.
