The Pinay Aspire Scholarship

Pinay Aspirations, a not-for-profit organization created by an accomplished team of professional Pinay women, awards scholarships and mentorship to at-risk college-bound Bay Area students.

Mission: To promote the aspirations of Filipino youth in education, the community, personal growth and career development. Pinay Aspirations achieves these goals through scholarships, mentorship programs, community service and other activities or resources that will enhance their personal development and advancement in life. Pinay Aspirations continues to partner with organizations that actively support the advancement of Filipino youth.

About the Pinay Aspire Scholarship:

The Pinay Aspire Scholarship was established in 2006 to support and promote the advancement of San Francisco/Bay Area Filipinas through education and mentoring. Since its inception, Pinay Aspirations has received applications from Filipina high school students in and beyond the San Francisco Bay Area. The organization has awarded scholarships to inspiring young Filipinas who have demonstrated fortitude and are well-grounded within their community.

The Pinay Aspire Scholarship recipients are exceptional young women of Filipino descent and who will attend college. Pinay Aspire Scholarship recipient(s) demonstrate personal, community and/or academic successes while also overcoming personal hardship or disadvantaged upbringing. They exude pride in their Philippine heritage. Recipients of the Pinay Aspire Scholarship Award receive a $1000.00 academic scholarship, a professional Pinay woman mentor for one (1) year, and access to the Pinay Aspirations professional network and extensive knowledge-base.
