Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute Scholarships

The Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to full time students in their junior and senior year who's intended career is in mining related industries. A resident from each of the RMCMI member states is selected from among acceptable institutions. The scholarships are extended through tuition credit for the recipient's senior year, or post graduate, if again recommended by the institution.

Each applicant must be:
- A full-time college sophomore or junior in good standing at the time of selection
- Both a U.S. citizen and a legal resident of one of the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute member states (Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Texas, Utah and Wyoming)
- Pursuing a degree in a mining related field or in the engineering disciplines such as mining, geology, mineral processing, metallurgy, electrical, mechanical and environmental
- Interested in Western coal as a career path.
