Russ Casey Scholarship

The Russ Casey / Maine Restaurant Associates Scholarship Fund was established to promote careers in the restaurant and hospitality industry in Maine. This scholarship honors the integrity and memory of Russell Casey, a beloved and extraordinary employee of the Jordan's Foods Corporation. The Jordan Family created the Russ Casey Fund with their contribution of $5,000. This contribution was the start of the Russ Casey / MeRA Associates Scholarship Fund, a Maine not for profit corporation established as a 501 C (3) Charitable Foundation under IRS code.

Who is eligible to apply? Any student who is a resident of Maine and is, or will be attending an institution of higher education in a field of study clearly associated with the culinary arts, restaurant, hotel or hospitality management, with preference given to those pursuing a career in food service and preference given to Maine-based educational institutions.

Scholarship amount: Generally, three $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually based on fund earnings and qualified applications. This may be altered from time to time based on the number and quality of applications received and funds available.
