Michigan Tuition Grant Program
The Michigan Tuition Grant is a program funded by the state of Michigan and is based on financial need. The Tuition Grant is intended to provide students with increased access and choice to attend independent, degree-granting, nonprofit Michigan postsecondary institutions. Awards are restricted to the cost of tuition and fees.
Students must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The preferred deadline date for filing the FAFSA is March 1. FAFSA information is automatically released to this state agency if the student's state of legal residence is Michigan. The student must file a renewal FAFSA every year to be considered for the Tuition Grant.
