Pennsylvania Chafee Education & Training Grant
The Chafee Education and Training Grant Program offers grant assistance to Pennsylvania undergraduate students aging out of foster care who are attending a postsecondary institution approved for the Federal Title IV student financial assistance programs.
The Program has three components: eligibility determined by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (DPW), unmet cost determined by the postsecondary institution, and award eligibility calculated by PHEAA. Maximum awards under this program are $5,000 per academic year. However, no award may exceed the students cost of attendance minus other financial aid the student is receiving.
