I'm First Scholarship
The I'm First Scholarship is a $2,000, four-year renewable scholarship awarded to first-generation college students graduating from high school this year and enrolling at an I'm First College partner college or university. Scholarship winners may serve as monthly guest bloggers on the I'm First blog to share insight and perspective about their transition to college and successes thereafter. The application will be available in April.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Current high school (or home-schooled) seniors attending school in the United States
- First-generation college student (neither parent has earned a four-year college degree)
- Must be attending an I'm First partner college or university. A complete list of CSO College Partners can be viewed on our website
Ideal candidates will be seeking financial aid and scholarship support for college, possess strong writing skills and unique perspective, display a strong capacity for reflection, have experience with or commitment to community service, have leadership experience, and display commitment to helping expand educational opportunities for other first-generation students
I'm First Scholarship applicants are not defined by minimum academic qualifications such as GPA, SAT/ACT scores, or intended majors. Undocumented students are also encouraged to apply.
