Center for Communicable Disease Dynamics at Harvard School of Public Health

The Center for Communicable Disease Dynamics(CCDD)hopes to foster the development of new investigators and emerging scientists in the field of infectious disease modeling through education, mentoring, and financial support. Students studying the quantitative aspects of infectious diseases undertake projects ranging from analysis of large data sets to the development of new methods for data analysis and models to evaluate interventions.

The Center for Communicable Disease Dynamics funded by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences is offering a full tuition waiver for up two years and salary for students pursuing a Master of Science degree in infectious disease epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health. Funding to support doctoral students may also be available.

Students with a strong background in quantitative science are encouraged to apply!

Eligibility

Candidates for the scholarship must:
-Be a US Citizen or permanent resident
-Be a member of a group underrepresented in biomedical sciences:
--Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian or Alaskan native, and Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander OR
--Disabled OR
--Having an economically disadvantaged background that has directly inhibited the individual from obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities, necessary to develop and participate in a research Center. For example, are you a first generation college student?

In order to be considered for this opportunity students must adhere to the Harvard School of Public Health admissions process and apply by the deadline for the following academic year.

The final deadline for next year is December 15th of the current year.
