Miami University Miami National Merit

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. National Merit Finalists who list Miami as their first choice school with National Merit Corporation are eligible to receive a National Merit Scholarship sponsored by Miami University. Miami’s National Merit Scholarships range from $750 to $2,000 depending on financial need.
