In addition to scholarships, we also have a wealth of listings for grants and fellowships,
including national as well as state grant programs. Most of the aforementioned are
for those continuing their education beyond undergraduate school. Please take a
few minutes to look at those listed below, but don't stop there. Conduct a free
college scholarship search, too. There could
be even more money out there for you, but you won't know if you don't search for
it.

American Graduate Fellowships
American Graduate Fellowships are designed to support doctoral study in the humanities by graduates of small and mid-sized, private liberal arts colleges and universities.
Two fellowships, worth up to $50,000 each and renewable for a second year, will be awarded annually. Applicants must be graduating seniors (or recent graduates) of an eligible undergraduate institution who plan to enroll in a doctoral program during the subsequent academic year. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens. Awards can be used to fund doctoral study in four broad fields -- history, philosophy, languages and literature, and the fine arts -- at any of 23 leading private research universities in the US, UK, and Ireland. National Defense Science & Engineering Graduate Fellowship
This program seeks to identify individuals whose scientific and engineering credentials will support study through doctoral degrees. The prevailing goal is to provide the United States with talented, doctorally trained American men and women who will lead state-of-the-art research projects in disciplines having the greatest payoff to national security requirements. This program is highly competitive.
As a means of increasing the number of U.S. citizens or nationals trained in disciplines of military importance in science and engineering, the Department of Defense (DoD) plans to award approximately 200 new three-year graduate fellowships. More
