Resolve to Evolve Essay Scholarship

Scholarship, which awards seven winners between $1,000 and $3,000 annually.
This is just one of many scholarships available exclusively to high school students.
To qualify, one must be a high school senior who will be at least eighteen years
of age at the time the prize is awarded. Applicants must submit an essay based on
one of two subjects provided by Scholarships.com, along with a reference letter.

In order to be eligible for the Resolve to Evolve Essay Scholarship, a student must be:
- A high school senior anticipating graduation from high school during the academic year during which their application is submitted
- At least 18 yrs of age at the time the prize will be awarded
The Coca Cola Scholarship
The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded
to 250 high school seniors each year. Fifty of these are four-year, $20,000 scholarships
($5,000 per year for four years), while 200 are designated as four-year, $10,000
scholarships ($2,500 per year for four years). The scholarships must be used at
an accredited U.S. college or university.
In order to be eligible for a Coca-Cola Scholarship, a student must be:
- a high school senior anticipating graduation from high school during the academic
year in which application is made
- a U.S. Citizen; U.S. National; U.S. Permanent Resident; Temporary Resident (legalization
program); Refugee; Asylee; Cuban-Haitian Entrant; or Humanitarian Parolee
Dell Scholars Program
The Dell Scholars Program is an intiative of the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation and is offered to those high school students participating
in approved college readiness programs. Since 2004, $9 million in college scholarships
have been provided and 250 scholarships are awarded annually. To be eligible to
apply for the Dell Scholars Prgoram scholarship, you must meet the below listed
criteria:
- Graduating from an accredited high school this academic year
- Minimum 2.4 GPA
- Demonstrated need for financial assistance
- Participating in a MSDF approved college readiness program for a minimum of two
years
- Planning to enter a bachelor's degree program at an accredited higher education
institution in the fall directly after your graduation from high school.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident

Horatio Alger National Scholarship Program
As one of the nation's largest college financial aid programs in the country, the
Horatio Alger National Scholarship Program is the only major scholarship effort
that specifically assists high school students who have faced and overcome great
obstacles in their young lives. While many aid programs are directed primarily to
recognizing academic achievement or leadership potential, the Horatio Alger program
also seeks students who have a commitment to use their college degrees in service
to others.
The National Scholarship Program is awarded to eligible students in all fifty states,
the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. National Scholars receive an all expenses
paid trip to Washington D.C. during the Spring of their senior year to participate
in the National Scholars Conference.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the Horatio Alger National Scholarship, applicants must
meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled full time as a high school senior, progressing normally toward graduation,
and planning to enter college no later than the Fall following graduation
- Have a strong commitment to pursue a bachelor's degree at an accredited institution
(students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to
a four-year institution)
- Critical financial need ($50,000 or less adjusted gross income per family is preferred,
if higher explanation must be provided)
- Involvement in co-curricular and community activities
- Demonstrate academic achievement (minimum grade point average of 2.0)
- Be a citizen of the United States or be in the process of becoming a U.S. citizen
